A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth covering the tooth to restore its normal shape, size, strength, and to improve its appearance. Crowns are fixed dental restorations that are cemented on the tooth permanently. Crown can be used to improve the appearance of badly decayed tooth, chipped or broken teeth, discolored tooth.
Crowns can be made from

They are made from stainless steel or metal alloy
Ceramic layering will be done over the metal substructure
All ceramic or metal free
Complete tooth colored crown without any metal substructure and is made up of high strength ceramic
Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap
Dental bridge is used to restore the missing teeth by joining permanently to the adjacent teeth. A bridge is recommended in case if u have one or more missing teeth with the adjacent teeth on both sides intact.
